I am originally from Glasgow, KY close to Barren River Lake. I moved to Rochester, MN in 1998 to work for IBM.
There I realized that the bitter cold was not the smartest decision that a southern boy needed to make for any
amount of money. However, there I met my future wife. In 1999, I moved to Nashville, TN to work for a major
health care facility. I am currently the Manager, IT Computer Operations for Alfa Insurance.
My first experience in competition shooting events was at Gallatin Gun Club in early 2006. I still get made
fun of for pulling my weapon and holster out at the same time on my first stage. I started shooting
competitions regularly at Gallatin Gun Club in 2007. I am a member of multiple shooting clubs in the
surrounding Nashville area and regularly compete in matches in Kentucky and Tennessee. I held the
following MCTS offices: Match Director in 2008-2009 and Vice President in 2010.
My primary goal as President is to ensure that we promote the IDPA sport in a positive perception to our
members and outside competitors. We will offer challenging match designs to ensure that your overall
experience with MCTS causes you to become a regular competitor with us.
